although the blood arm looks fake. i would suggest putting less of a 'solid' stream, and putting 'trickles' of bloods, and more splatter on the fan. or evenn removing the blood entirely. this pic has A LOT of potential. keep it up

(I just have to say that I haven't seen the stock photo.)

I think the contrast between the grungy wall and her skin an hair is very good. You've done a very good joob with her hair and skin, they both seem to glow. I like the chinese coin, it makes me think of the old belief about the ferryman etc.
The two cuts on her arm is extraordinary and the blood looks very real, especially on her hand and on the (I don't know the correct word) fan.
The only things I think draws the picture a bit down is the size and that you haven't really gotten her hand as smooth as the hair and the rest of her skin. But except from that I think the piece is amazing. You've done a very good joob, and I like it very much.

I think this is amazing - and not a literal translation, but a more suggestive, stylized piece. My only complaint is (and dumb I know) is the cuts on her wrist.. for some reason, I just don't *like* them? Maybe because I think the blood stands on it's own, without having a 'cause' like the cuts. Just my mind you - were this a print, I'd buy it in an instant!
